Review of Dead Man (1995) by Roberto A — 10 Nov 2009
I appreciated Neil Young's contribution to the movie and it most certainly gave the feeling of forlornness and bewilderment but the overall mood just seemed to be too slow and drawn out. A lot of the dialogue was amazing though! I'm still trying to figure out why Iggie Pop was dressed as a woman.
The shootouts were well choreographed and bloody as hell! Blake had some great character development and Nobody (although somewhat stereotypical) dropped some terrific philosophical one liners! This also might have been one of the best casts formed in ANY western I have ever seen.
(I know, it's near impossible to top the 1988 teenage heartthrob cast of Young Guns, but they did!).
