Review of Dead Man (1995) by Paul C — 27 Nov 2009
This movie took poetry to a strange yet interesting level. Johnny Depp does a wonderful job as the character William Blake who is thought by an interesting Indian along the way that he is the famous poet William Blake.
Later Depp is turned into a gunfighter and his killing becomes a work of art. This movie is very poetic like I said and is slow at parts. It even runs kind of long. So you have to be open minded when watching the film.
You will either love it or hate it. The cast was all really good and the characters were fun to watch. This includes the comic relief of Billy Bob Thornton at one point. But overall, this is a pretty good movie.
