Never watched the show but the film intrigues my curiosity on how the show was like. Not that the show lasted too long but the film makes you wonder why it wasn't a much bigger hit. Given that showtime is a premium cable channel but still, makes me think that if the advent of DVD show rentals had come out earlier, whether this show would have lasted longer.
Very good transition from the small to the big screen. Performances are decent and direction above par. Story was good and did the show much justice considering that I never saw it and now want to.
