Review of Dead Like Me: Life After Death (2009) by Robert M — 18 Mar 2009
Plusses and minuses to this sequel to a modestly-successful cable series. The plusses are George's interaction with her family, always a strength in the series. They're just as poignant here, which makes this worth seeing.
The Reaper storyline, about a crass businessman replacing Rube, doesn't make much sense, and the girl who took over as Daisy was abominable. Laura Harris actually had an emotional undercurrent to her portrayal of the monstrous Daisy, which made her an interesting character.
This Daisy is just an overgrown Paris Hilton wannabe. Who cares. Thus, a mixed bag. Worth seeing if you're a fan of the series, just to see George sort things out with her sister, but frustrating too.
