Review of Dead Heart (1996) by Lee M — 08 Oct 2007
When people nominate the best Australian movies, they rarely nominate this. And that's a shame. This was the sleeper hit of 1997, and deserves mention just for showing that Ernie Dingo isn't always an annoying twit.
Seriously though, Bryan Brown is scarily good in this, and the questions the movie poses are as relevant today as they were 100 years ago. Should white man's laws supersede the black man's? And when?
