Review of Dead & Breakfast (2004) by Kevin T — 13 Jun 2009
I checked this out after rave reviews from a horror-crazed friend of mine, and the fact that I live in the bed and breakfast capital of the world. The plot is absurd, a small hillbilly town gets possessed by an ancient chinese curse and a group of visitors has to fend them off in multiple gruesome ways.
The gore is impressive for such a low budget film, and the third act is filled to the brim with fake blood. The very cool and underused Oz Perkins (son of Anthony Perkins) needs more roles, and David Carradine plays the B&B owner who dies pretty quick.
Too soon? It's also pretty hilarious at times, and it's actually meant to be intentional. It's a really bad movie, good thing I adore cheesy horror flicks.
