Unless you're going to watch this in Mystery Science Theater mode, you'll get the most out of it by a Willing Suspension of Cheese Allergy. Yes, it alternates between bad rom-com and bad existential thriller, but if you're willing to play by its terms, it's incredibly fun.
If not, get Hitchock's Spellbound--same source of tension (just fewer plot twists).
