This movie is so pitch perfect. A loving tribute to Hitchcock,noir and mystery in a contemporary setting. Branagh directs and stars as an affable american gumshoe investigating a the case of a troubled woman (the equally brilliant Emma Thompson).
Robin Williams shocked audiences and critics with his cameo and performance as a grocery clerk with a p.h.d and some very disturbing insight into the case. Flawless.
