Review of Dead Again (1991) by Ben K — 08 Dec 2007
In 1991 Kenneth Branagh was poised to take over the world. Henry V garnered him best actor and best director oscar nominations. This one was for mass appeal. Branagh's take on Hitchcock which means the plot is absolutely contrived and convaluted but who cares.
The acting is superb especially Williams, Garcia, and Jacobi in supporting roles. Dead again is ultimately a reminder of Branagh's tremendous talent and it certainly begs the question of why he didn't make more movies of this quality.
