Review of Dead Again (1991) by Caitlin B — 12 Jul 2008
Decent pulp thriller which packs itself with enough Hitchcockness and twists to keep you guessing throughout.
Branagh and Thompson seem a little out of place. Can we really accept Branagh as a womanising private eye.....no, he's frightfully too British for that. yet there's a strong supporting cast including excellent turns from Garcia, Jacobi and a disturbing Robin Williams.
The film really gathers pace towards it's revelatory conclusion and although the ending slips into a slasher movie feel it manages to remain a charming and entertaining airport thriller.
