Review of Dead Again (1991) by Amy W — 12 Aug 2011
Being a huge fan of both Kenneth Branagh (who also directed this film) and Emma Thompson, Netflix recommended I watch this movie. So I did! And it was a good time! Under the controlling hand of fate, 2 soul mates find themselves in each othersâ(TM) lives yet again in their next life.
Seeing as a mysterious murder ended their first round of living, round 2 is their chance to solve the puzzle and make things right again. I feel as though itâ(TM)s Kennethâ(TM)s take on Alfred Hitchcock.
At moments, I felt that some directing choices were a bit⦠what⦠lame, I guess. But the twists and turns that come at the end overpower those poor choices. If you enjoy mystery thrillers, I would recommend renting this film.
Plus, I mean, come on- itâ(TM)s Kenneth Branagh.
