I really liked the cast, and the musical cameos were quite entertaining. I knew little about Porter's life, so the educational aspect was very cool. Seeing John Barrowman's performance was a highlight for me.
I enjoyed the format of the film - it reminded me of Big Fish. LOL! :-).
