Wow Great movie. I have had long interesting musicals and jazz and when I saw Kevin Kline was starring in this I wondered if he could pull it off. The biography of Cole Porter is told through a series of flashbacks by an older (wheel chaired ) Cole and a producer (Johnathan Pryce) The primary Plot of "De-Lovely" concerns Porter's 35-year marriage to Linda Thomas (Ashley Judd), a wealthy divorcee whom he married, even though he a long history of also dating men.
The movie moves through a series of vignettes and non stop musical music he produces. I think Irwin Winklers stylized version of Porters life is fantastic (contrary to the opinion of some reviewers) Marvelous Music, marvelous stage drama and his musical productions, good plot, great sets and costumes.
Music Music Music. I have a nice sound system hooked up to my tv and the music was really magical!! Highly reco.
