Most of the pets are much better characters than their superhero counterparts, IMO.
Wonder Woman is a stupid character. Batman is stupid. He's not even a superhero. Why does he dress like a bat? He's way too serious and gruff for my liking.
I like Superman. Why do they keep making Batman films and not make any Superman films?
League of Super Pets scratches that itch a bit. It starts with the destruction of Krypton only - in this film - Superman has a dog, Krypto. I was into it from the very first scene.
There's a lot of funny stuff (silly/goofy and parody) but it's also got heart.
I was pleasantly surprised.
