Review of Dazed and Confused (1993) by Dave C — 01 Oct 2011
Dazed and Confused is pretty easily the best high school movie I've ever seen. In spite of coming across almost like a fantastical interpretation of carefree youth, it captures the spirit and energy of said youth with an almost tangible amount of honesty, and while the script is generally aimless, the film has undeniable forward momentum.
Every single character is realistically-rendered, making them a pleasure to sit and hang out with for an hour and a half. I could watch this 100 times and never tire of it. One of the best films I've ever seen.
