Review of Days of Wine and Roses (1963) by Jake W — 16 Feb 2010
Fantastic film from start to finish. Big highlight here are the performances of Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick. Both of their characters began one way and ended another; Lemmon and Remick were literally perfect in their portrayals.
How they lost Actor and Actress that year is a mystery to me (especially for Lemmon. I mean, he already had one, but he lost to Gregory Peck's performance in To Kill a Mockingbird, which is literally the most "do nothing" performance to everw in anything).
