Well told and beautifully shot. I only wish I knew more about the time and place this film depicted, though it did it so well, I was almost swept by the romantic idea of suddenly running away to someplace else.
Like Malick's 'Badlands' before it, there are few films shot with so much vision that it almost seems as though the viewer has only now opened their eyes and finally seen the world for the first time.
