Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Lindsay A — 26 Apr 2008
Watched this after seeing the Edward Hopper exhibit at the Art Institute, in which they mentioned that the film's scenery had been influenced by Hopper. The cinematography is possibly the most beautiful I've ever seen.
Includes a harrowing depiction of locusts descending on the farm, and the subsequent chaos, that is a really remarkable piece of cinema.
