Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Eitan F — 17 Oct 2008
Terrence Malick's second film is one of the high points of color cinematography. A simple story of jealousy in the fields of west Texas just before World War One. Richard Gere and Brooke Adams, are lovers running from Chicago squalor (and a murder charge), who pose as siblings, along with Gere's young sister (Played by the amazingly authentic Linda Manz.
). Sam Shepard is the wealthy farmer they work for, who's grown enamored of Adams. Drama ensues. Also, the musical score will haunt you for days.
