Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Suminda W — 11 Sep 2009
Perhaps one of the most gorgeous films I've seen - the cinematography is excellent. It takes the Malick about half the film to actually start telling the story and I found this a little frustrating.
But once the story is told you forget all about that. Another excellent movie by Terrence Mallick - he has to be one of the best modern day directors. I was little surprised by Richard Gere's performance, usually I'm not a big fan, but this movie was different.
