Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Jfloyd3 W — 09 May 2013
Linda Manz steals this movie and our hearts with the most under-rated supporting performance of all-time. Her little jig scene alone is worth the price of admission. This and her simple voice over narration is mesmerizing. She allows us to see the world through her eyes.
Director Terrence Malick would have been a ten year old boy watching Disney's 1953 "The Living Desert" in some East Texas movie house, an influence writ large here.
