Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Paul P — 10 Mar 2009
Seeing and hearing the story through this child that has lived through hardships and has learned to get up and try it again at such a young age is haunting. Her voice over has so much depth to it that it's a borderline character study.
And of course the cinematography is unbelievable! I could go on a whole Ricky Fitts, American Beauty monologue about it but just take my word for it.
