Review of Days of Heaven (1978) by Steve S — 22 Oct 2009
**** (out of four).
Stunningly beautiful film where virtually every shot looks like an award winning photograph. It is a true piece of art.
Richard Gere and Brooke Adams play a couple who run away from the law in Chicago and take up as workers in a vast wheat field. When they learn the land owner (Sam Shepard) is terminally ill, they concoct a plan for her to marry him so that they can have the money when he's gone.
