Review of Days of Glory (2006) by Andrew B — 26 Jan 2008
At last a film about the peoples from the colonies who answered the call to aid their colonizers defeat fascism.
It is a haert warming story of a group of Algerian men who enlist to defeat Hitler and end up facing racism from many levels of French society. It has taken too long to tell the stories of forgotten soldiers who served bravely and faced racism while they fought a racist German military machine.
