The story is telling the ethnic background. If you are Arab hater, you will not like it. Especially if you are French colonial nationalistic minded. You still can not change the facts, which presented in this film.
The Arabs did make their mark in history by helping the French colonial government fought in WWII. And they got the treatments of a "sand nigger" in return.
