Review of Daylight (1996) by Abdullah S — 01 Jan 2010
A fight for survival, or a fight for Stallone to save his career? Viggo Mortensen was smart to get out of this film early in the game. This is almost comparable to Schwarzenegger's 'Collateral Damage,' in that this isn't a movie like each of Arnold's and Sylvester's previous films where they are put into a situation they must get out of using guns and tactics, but rather with wit and intelligence.
That is actually overshadowed by the fact of Stallone becoming the personal savior of the tunnel explosions survivors, and he reverts to his old action ways to act this one out. The last explosion he detonates, yelling at the tunnel as if its some big brute that has tried to beat him, but can't? Come on, save your breath and just get out of the tunnel.
