Not sure the world really needs any more vampire films, but at least this one has a few original ideas and a welcome lack of goth teenagers looking longingly at each other through trees.
The mix of sci-fi and vampire genre works surprisingly well, enabling some unique plot ideas, and the production is slick and enjoyable.
