Review of Daybreakers (2010) by Indiana J — 05 May 2012
An extremely thought-out, appealing apocalyptic scenario - how does society slowly become enslaved to and ultimately crumble when every member values a single resource above all else? The contrast between night and day is stark and quite eerie - putting the sun in a new light, for all the sense that makes.
Well acted and well scored with a badass turn from Willem Dafoe and an absolutely visceral climax horror, gore and sci-fi fans alike will not want to miss. An underappreciated gem of genre blend in recent years.
