It's quite difficult to watch Daybreakers, mostly due to the lack of humanity and overabundant violence and gore depicted throughout the movie. This film takes place on a future where the Vampires thrive and the humans are endangered and farmed for blood. Most of the characters in this film, like that of William Dafoe are just too one dimensional. Only Ethan Hawke's character has some sort of character development. This film considers vampires as a disease, like the zombies and the whole world is too full of vampires. They actually invent a cure in a so-so manner and the directors are barely able to execute it in the end. They mix too much of violence in the end that it's quite difficult to imagine that such a cure can be used practically. This film has an original idea, but it lacks a heart to it just like the vampires that flaunt the entire movie.
