Review of Day Zero (2007) by Michael T — 30 May 2008
In a long list of politically motivated films that have come out recently, I'm noticing a trend whereupon main characters end up settling with the disturbing political atmosphere instead of taking drastic measures.
I was pleased to see something made with a little balls, but as the movie progressed I felt more and more let down especially as it ends in the way Stop Loss did. I guess maybe I had hoped for something more edgey coming from the Indie-wood scene, but once again will hold my breath for a movie that ends with fierce political upheaval instead of quiet participation.
Why? Because an overwhelming majority of people find the current wars and administration to be wrong.
