Review of Day Watch (2006) by Viking V — 20 May 2008
A strong follow up that matches Nightwatch for sweeet visuals and funky weird action. The geezer who plays Anton fits back into a role that allows him to be simultaneously dumbstruck, world weary and heroic.
The expectations for it to be a huge epic like at the start of the first one make it a tiny let down but as small little actiony sci fi films this and its night time predecessor are both entertaining, original-ish and well worth a watch.
