Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Kendra E — 03 Dec 2007
This really didn't strike me as a movie that was designed to entertain via revenge, but more of a knee-jerk reaction that Meir Zarchi had due to witnessing the rape victim and her traumas. It would make sense, since a lot of big questions come up (for example, wasn't it a little heartless to kill Matthew?). I don't believe this was truly designed as a film to entertain via revenge, though it was marketed as such two years later under the ISOYG title.
Whatever your views on its personal/moral questionings, one thing is known: this movie will make any and all males consider very carefully who they take a bubble bath with.
Overall though, the movie is boring and poorly made and doesn't get its "point" across well at all.
