Review of Day of the Woman (1978) by Randy E — 30 Aug 2010
Not altogether the misunderstood masterpiece that some have mentioned I Spit On Your Grave still manages to pull the viewer in on the story and repulse right up to the end of the rape. The problem with this movie is that not enough time is spent on the revenge.
I mean if the director went to such lengths to show Camille Keaton's (great granddaughter to Buster Keaton) characters horror why did he not spend ample time on the revenge? Still a classic clearly inspired by Last House on the Left.
