Review of Day of the Dead 2: Contagium (2005) by Ollie C — 03 Jan 2009
Go into it with low expectations and you'll come out of it pleasantly surprised. This unofficial "prequel" to Day of the Dead is an underrated gore-fest. While some viewers may be turned off by the pace, I found the slow grind of zombification to be a horrifying direction very much in the character of the zombie genre.
It's not a classic, and it's not Romero-grade, but I personally think it's worth seeing at least once for it's more personal, gradual take on the transformation from man to zombie.
