Review of Day Night Day Night (2006) by Jerry R — 26 Jun 2007
Although it held my attention fairly well, and it seemed pretty realistic, there were a lot of plot holes. For instance, it never says why she wants to kill herself, except that she wants control over her death.
Also, the ending, very anticlimactic. This may have been a statement trying to say that we expect people in movies to blow up too often or something, but still, it just stops. Either way, I liked how realistic it seemed, with minimal dialogue and not too much silly drama.
Not to mention I don't think there is even any music in it. It gave a good effect and didn't have a bad style. However, more information seriously needed to be given. The suspense was also not bad.
The more I think about it, the more I can't decide whether it was very good or very bad. It did feel, after a while, like it was really happening and I was seeing it in real time through her eyes.
It managed to show this person as very human and easy to relate to yet it didn't reveal a lot about her character or her motivations. All in all I'm indecisive about it at this moment.
