Review of Day Night Day Night (2006) by Brandon B — 11 May 2008
This film definitely stands alone. Director, Julia Loktev, oddly uses the accentuated sounds of everyday activities, mostly that of eating, to fill in the lack of dialogue. Annemarie Lawless's performance was amazing.
The story was great, for it told us just enough to be aware what was going on, but left out just enough to keep us asking questions. I loved the beautifully unexpected ending.
