Dawn of the planet of the apes just might be the best of the entire franchise.
What really makes it stand out is a gripping story, involving power characters and their struggle for survival, not just against the outside forces, but also fighting the inner turmoil.
The only criticism, and the reason why it's not a 10 is that they kinda jumped into the whole apocalypse thing without much development prior.
But other than that, it's a thrilling picture worth watching twice.
