If you didn't like Rise of the Planet of the Apes or any of the other Planet of the Apes movies, then you shouldn't see this movie, it won't change your mind about the series. That being said this movie is fantastic.
It has an amazing story, intense action, and genuinely sad moments. My only problem with this movie was the drama scenes between the humans. These scenes weren't very long but they seemed out of place and made the movie about 10 minutes longer than it should have been.
