Review of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) by Theoffice — 12 Jul 2014
Spectacular movie. Once you get over the little kids laughing at the apes you find the plot to be very deep and the characters all put in very tough situations. There was a level of drama in the film that I was not expecting.
The action was just the right amount and not overdone. I do think they rushed the transition from the first movie to the this one (a two minute montage of clips to show how the world went to hell) but other than that no real issues.
