Review of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) by Patrick B — 22 Jul 2016
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is a movie about how some humans stumble on a world full of apes. This movie basically goes for 15 to 20 mins before any spoken dialogue is spoken.
I am not really a fan of these kinds of movies but I wanted to see what all the fuss is about.
I feel the true message of this movie is about war and how it can be avoided if both parties can come together to settle their differences.
But in the movie it shows how a sad truth that just because of ones foolish perception it can affect others in masses.
Although PG 13 it can be a tad dark and I would advise younger audience really stay away but if they are keen parents should be with them.
Great concept but over 2 hours long and 20mins of non-dialogue can really be off-putting.
