Dudes. Dawn of The Planet of The Apes is so fucking good. Like award worthy good. I can't wait to see War. I have seen this a few times since I wrote that very short but glowing review and my original rating stands.
This is one of my favorite movies of this century and I need to really consider where this belongs on my all time list. All the performances are great but Andy Serkis really is something special. But just like when Yoda told Obi Wan after his lament of Luke being their last hope, "No.
There is another." In this case, the other is Toby Kebbell as Koba. These two create a brother/adversary dynamic equalled by few. This movie is perfect. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Worthy sequel doesn't even begin to describe this marvelous achievement.
It's so damn good, it may be the best Apes yet. I need to see it again.
