The story of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes isn't anything new, but the way it is told makes it feel fresh. The struggle for power between Caesar and Koba is captivating. There are even times that you forget that you're watching animated simians instead of the real thing.
The human side of the plot is a bit weak, but overall this is a very well-made movie.
