Review of Dawn of the Dead (2004) by Anthony V — 31 Jul 2011
As the zombie sub-genre begins to get taken over by Europe, its nice to know that American zombies are still alive. This adaptation of George Romero's second film is given fast zombies this time around, making it upbeat and intense when mixed with the head bangin soundtrack (which Snyder chooses excellently).
Like alot of zombie films the acting is subpar and its "emotional" moments just don't sink in... except for one which involves one woman giving birth while infected. That moment will be remebered to all zombie movie fans like myself.
