Review of Dawn of the Dead (2004) by Chris R — 05 Oct 2011
It's not a perfect remake, but it comes pretty damn close. Director Zach Snyder gives a classic his own unique take that works well, although the characters don't have the same charm, and the film does seem to rely more on the effects than the story.
Overall, though I recommend the film highly, it's still a great modern horror film, but I still recommend you see the original first.
