Review of Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier (1955) by James S — 21 Jan 2009
Another one of my childhood favorite Disney classics, even if it's no where near historically acurate.
It's a cool old movie, and the end scene at the Alamo will be one of my favorite movie moments ever.
The acting is great by Parker, who makes the perfect Crockett, and Ebsen who makes a great sidekick.
It's the perfect family friendly Disney movie and will always be a favorite of mine and I'll be able to watch it again and again.
"I'm half-horse, half-alligator and a little attached with snapping turtle. I've got the fastest horse, the prettiest sister, the surest rifle and the ugliest dog in Texas. My father can lick any man in Kentucky... and I can lick my father.".
