Review of Dave (1993) by Caleb M — 23 May 2008
Much better than I had expected. It never goes out of its way to try and make you laugh, because it doesn't need to. The characters are funny and real and the situations never seem forced or like something out of a sitcom.
At first I thought the subplot with Frank Langella would be cheesy and unnesesary, but it turns out to bring a very compelling and interesting end to the film. A very, very strong and entertaining film.
