Review of Dave (1993) by Jonny P — 15 Nov 2009
This was an above average film with a unique (thought farfetched) plot. Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver were good in their lead roles, but Frank Langella really stole the show as the sneaky creator of a political machine.
He portrayed a corrupt Washington politician exactly as I envision them and his acting really drove the plot. Rhames, as always plays a totally cool and loveable character, and in Kingsley's small (but powerful) role, he symbolizes that bit of hope that the corruption in our government will someday dissipate.
This is a good movie containing both political messages and humorous situations. Definitely see this one.
