I don't have much to say about this that everyone else here hasn't touched on. This is a sweet-hearted little film that places its heart front and center on its sleeve. Kevin Kline, it shouldn't have to be said, is brilliant as usual.
Too bad I didn't get to see him enough as the evil President Mitchell. Frank Langella is positively brilliant considering he almost never raises his voice above a whisper and is all the more insidious for it.
Ving Rhames was also great with his little character arc as Dave managed to penetrate his icy exterior. I love Bonnie Hunt's little cameo as the White House tour guide. This is just a great little flick.
