Review of Daughters of Darkness (1971) by Paul N — 16 Jan 2009
Gorgeous European lesbian vampires swan into an almost-deserted hotel and proceed to seduce and mindf*ck the only two guests, who've got some serious issues of their own. Despite one or two baffling digressions (what was with the lead male character's whole "Mother" subplot? What was up with that?!?), the film is actually fairly tight, often effectively seductive and, more often, appropriately loony.
Both fans of psychosexual vampire horror and, erm, long raincoats will find something to love here.
