Review of Date Night (2010) by Keegan K — 03 Sep 2013
Date Night is a pretty absurd comedy film with a crazy plot. Steve Carell and Tina Fey are kind of at a standstill in their marriage, going through the same old motions, with their typical date night every week.
One night they visit a new restaurant and they get caught up in this huge plot to find a flash drive that has bad pictures of the district attorney. Right from the get-go I knew this was not going to be an amazing movie.
More like a B-Rated flick. Steve and Tina definitely provide the comedy and work very well together and are a believable couple. But the plot is just so absurd and out of this world. There are some very legitimate laughable moments however.
But at the end of the movie, I'm not sure I'd watch it again.
